Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Scheduler to contribute to critical UK Defence & Security projects. This role involves managing complex construction schedules that support long-term initiatives, strengthening the UK's defence capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review detailed construction schedules using scheduling software and provide expert opinions and progress reports.
- Manage and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Conduct site visits to active construction projects, assessing progress against schedule and project records.
- Advise clients on actual work progress and potential cost impacts.
- Develop recovery plans to mitigate delays impacting time and budget.
- Assess construction claims, providing detailed opinions and reports addressing contractual rights and damage quantifications suitable for resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
- Create and update project schedules utilizing tools like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta Powerproject, employing Critical Path Method techniques for project control and delay analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, including charts and graphs, to support analyses and presentations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a scheduling role within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills paired with efficient organizational abilities.
- Ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Capability to meet tight deadlines and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Familiarity with NEC contractual frameworks.
- Experience in Defence and Security sectors, government projects, or large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of built asset and infrastructure management.
- Eligibility to obtain BPSS and Security Clearance (SC).
