Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of vital industrial AI implementation projects from contract signing to deployment and value realization, ensuring alignment with client strategic priorities and measurable impact.
• Manage complete project lifecycles including scope, budgeting, quality assurance, and outcome delivery to achieve financial and operational success.
• Translate project objectives into concrete business KPIs, conduct Value Realization Workshops to establish baselines and measure results.
• Develop comprehensive project plans addressing scope, timelines, resources, budgeting, risks, and quality, while proactively managing dependencies and resolving blockers.
• Oversee complex integrations between OT and IT data sources using agile methodologies and maintain active stakeholder engagement.
• Provide consistent updates and executive briefings to customers and internal stakeholders including Account Executives and Customer Business Executives regarding project progress, risks, scope changes, and financial status.
• Collaborate with Product teams to ensure delivery of agreed-upon features and capabilities, escalating any gaps to protect contractual commitments and customer satisfaction.
• Manage financial aspects such as bookings, revenue recognition, cost monitoring, margin analysis, and forecasting, reporting transparently to the Portfolio Manager.
• Serve as the primary liaison during project execution dealing with governance, steering committees, communication, and customer satisfaction management.
• Handle partner and vendor relationships and maintain thorough process documentation.
• Drive change management initiatives including user training and adoption support alongside Customer Business Executives.
• Proactively identify expansion opportunities by understanding customer challenges and coordinating with relevant Cognite teams.
• Utilize Cognite PMO playbooks and best practices, fostering continuous improvement and implementing lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software, with a proven track record in managing complex industrial or enterprise AI/IT projects.
• Prior work experience within the Software Industry is mandatory.
• Fluent in English and German languages.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for client engagements.
• Expertise in SaaS implementation including onboarding, training, and managing change.
• Strong leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams such as Data Scientists, Engineers, and Solution Architects.
• Deep knowledge of industrial sectors including Energy, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, Utilities, Power, and Renewables.
• Solid financial understanding of managing project realization and forecasting.
• Thorough familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practical application of PMO frameworks like PMP or PRINCE2.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient with project management tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of data platforms, cloud services (Azure, AWS), or industrial IoT technologies.
• Experience with data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, or machine learning projects is a plus.
