Project Manager - Commercial Interior Fit-Out

About the Role

NxtWave is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the complete execution of a significant commercial interior fit-out project. This role demands high ownership and the ability to manage complex, dynamic project environments independently. The selected individual will coordinate planning, procurement, vendor management, and site teams to ensure the project aligns with NxtWave's design and operational benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initial site handover through final project completion with accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Develop, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and deliverables to secure timely and efficient project execution.
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, MEP and structural consultants, and other relevant parties to facilitate seamless workflow.
• Supervise contractors, vendors, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Manage procurement processes, material planning, delivery timelines, site inventory, and optimized material use.
• Guarantee adherence to approved GFC drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and quality criteria during execution.
• Perform regular site inspections, track progress, recognize risks early, and address execution challenges proactively.
• Coordinate financial and procurement operations such as purchase orders, invoicing, vendor payments, and cost tracking.
• Review contractor bills, measurement records, and project documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain strict safety, statutory, and site compliance throughout the project.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for stakeholder and leadership review.
• Manage project handover including snag corrections, final documentation, and formal closure.
• Ensure synchronization across multiple trades and project phases to maintain project momentum and schedule adherence.

Candidate Profile

• At least 4 years of demonstrable experience managing commercial interior fit-outs, especially large-scale or multi-floor projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in commercial interior construction methodologies, BOQs, GFC drawings, and related project documentation.
• Proven capability in handling multiple vendors, contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
• Practical experience with material procurement, site logistics, inventory control, and execution scheduling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project tracking software.
• Solid understanding of MEP coordination, quality assurance, site execution, and finishing work standards.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management aptitude.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and budget constraints without sacrificing project quality.
• Willingness to undertake travel to various project sites and factories as needed.
