Position Overview

The Project Coordinator II, specializing as a Milestone Scheduler/Coordinator, will manage, update, and maintain standardized milestone schedules across various projects. Collaborating with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, and other stakeholders, the role ensures milestone timelines are accurate, reflective of project risk, and aligned with execution strategies. This role emphasizes milestone management rather than detailed schedule development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and refresh standardized project milestones for multiple simultaneous projects.
• Gather and incorporate schedule updates through coordination with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain milestone schedule data utilizing Primavera P6 software.
• Ensure milestones accurately reflect the current execution plan, project risks, and any changes.
• Track progress against milestones and generate periodic status reports.
• Support analytics and reporting tasks through Excel and Power BI tools.
• Identify and recommend enhancements for milestone tracking and reporting processes.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to facilitate effective project delivery.

Candidate Qualifications

• A minimum of three years’ experience in project scheduling, project controls, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 for schedule maintenance.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Strong teamwork skills across diverse departments and functions.
• Experience with report generation, data analytics, or dashboard creation using Excel and Power BI is advantageous.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle phases and execution milestones is beneficial.

Work Schedule and Location

This contract role, based in Calgary, Alberta, offers a hybrid work schedule: onsite presence is required Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote work permitted on Wednesday and Friday.

Compensation

The position offers a pay rate ranging between $30 to $33 per hour, paid on a W2 basis.
