Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Procurement Manager to oversee reliable, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of components, sub-assemblies, hardware, and services. This role involves ensuring product delivery aligns with quality, budget, and timeline expectations. This position demands a hands-on approach, managing supply chain challenges within a fast-moving technological project and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement operations including purchase order issuance and ticket management through JIRA, maintaining all related documentation.
• Coordinate production scheduling with contract manufacturers to meet delivery, budget, and quality benchmarks (DIFOT).
• Lead negotiations with vendors on pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, and long-term agreements.
• Monitor supplier lead times, inventory status, and risks related to critical components.
• Oversee freight logistics, customs clearance, and compliance for internationally sourced items.
• Administer the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process to enhance supplier quality performance.
• Deliver cash flow analysis and monthly reporting on production and procurement metrics.
• Identify and execute cost reduction and value engineering strategies.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers, conduct contract reviews and renegotiations.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance, and Business Development teams.
• Travel within Australia and internationally may be required.

Candidate Profile

• Proven success as a results-oriented procurement professional.
• At least five years of procurement experience in electronic hardware manufacturing, preferably working closely with engineering design and development.
• Experience sourcing globally, with emphasis on suppliers based in Asia.
• Strong negotiation skills covering scope, cost, delivery, and quality.
• Ability to manage supply chain risks and adapt under pressure in a dynamic global sourcing environment.
• Excellent analytical and process mapping abilities, with a strong record of achieving cost savings.
• Collaborative approach, comfortable working across functional teams.
• Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, or Operations Management at diploma or degree level.
