Position Overview

An established CBSE-affiliated school in Barrackpore, Kolkata is looking for a Principal to lead academic, administrative, and examination-related functions. The role requires strong leadership, compliance awareness, and the ability to support the school’s overall development and discipline.

Academic Leadership

You will be responsible for setting learning standards, reviewing teaching quality, and ensuring that classroom practices and the curriculum stay in line with CBSE norms.

Administration and Compliance

The position includes handling school finances, keeping records organized and up to date, and ensuring adherence to CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws.

Examination Responsibilities

You will act as the main Centre Superintendent for board examinations and oversee related evaluation activities.

Parent and Student Engagement

A key part of the role is building constructive relationships with parents, resolving concerns, and maintaining a disciplined school environment.

Student Development

The role also covers support for extracurricular activities, student fitness and well-being, and arranging periodic medical checkups.

Experience and Preference

Candidates should have at least 10 years of teaching experience in CBSE-affiliated schools. Preference is given to applicants with around 5 years of experience as a Principal in an administrative capacity. Candidates based in Kolkata or elsewhere in West Bengal are preferred.
