Overview
This contract position supports the Business Pricing team by working on pricing strategies for small to large business customers. The role is based in North Dublin and is expected to last 6 to 9 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing pricing inputs, maintaining and enhancing pricing models, managing product and tariff adjustments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver precise, competitive, and customer-focused pricing solutions. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pricing tasks related to business customers, including tariff evaluations, customized pricing, and fixed-price offerings.
- Examine pricing data, market trends, competitor pricing, and forecasting assumptions to inform sound and competitive pricing choices.
- Oversee and refine pricing models, tools, and systems in coordination with IT and relevant teams to implement necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with teams in Business Markets, Forecasting, Reporting, and Customer Solutions to aid in pricing amendments, business case Creation, and product development.
- Maintain and update pricing reports and dashboards ensuring accuracy, clarity, and usefulness for business decision-making.
- Identify and propose improvements to pricing workflows aimed at simplifying processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and numerical skills enabling extraction of insights from complex datasets.
- Proficient in advanced Excel applications, including modeling, VBA scripting, and Power BI reporting.
- Comprehensive understanding of pricing inputs, related systems, and data that underpin pricing strategies.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to clearly present complex information.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a proactive and pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
- A relevant degree is preferred but not mandatory; practical experience in the listed areas is essential.
