About the Role
This position entails launching and managing production of a new B2B technology podcast named "The API to Europe," which features deep-dive discussions with founders, operators, and investors who've expanded technology firms across Europe. With three episodes already recorded, the podcast producer will be responsible for overseeing the entire post-production and facilitating a smooth rollout on top platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube through Flightcast.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and master audio recordings per episode, including balancing audio levels, noise suppression, removing filler words and silence, and integrating intros/outros alongside music beds.
- Create video or branded waveform versions suitable for YouTube distribution.
- Design reusable thumbnail templates for episodes.
- Produce 3–5 captioned short vertical video clips per episode for social media channels such as LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
- Prepare show notes and write episode descriptions for editorial review.
- Maintain a turnaround time of 5–7 business days for episode delivery.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience producing and editing interview-based B2B or technology podcasts.
- Proficiency with audio editing tools like Adobe Audition, Audacity, or equivalents.
- Experience with video editing for YouTube and social media platforms.
- Advanced capabilities in noise reduction, audio leveling, and cutting content effectively.
- Skill in crafting engaging short clips and eye-catching thumbnails.
- Familiarity with podcast distribution systems, especially Flightcast.
- Strong organizational aptitude and communication abilities.
- Ability to present 2–3 complete episode edits with corresponding short clips for assessment.
- Availability to commit to ongoing part-time contracted work handling 2–4 episodes monthly.
- Dependable, detail-focused, and deadline-oriented approach.
