Dovida is committed to enhancing the lives of seniors by providing exceptional, person-focused home care services. As a Payroll Compliance Officer with us, you'll ensure smooth operation and adherence within our payroll function.

Role Details and Benefits

This position is based at our National Office with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing up to two work-from-home days per week. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns for various Australian states, keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation.
  • Reconcile payroll ledger accounts, including wages, superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG withholding, and employee deductions.
  • Enter fortnightly payroll journals into NetSuite, ensuring correct cost allocation across different entities and departments.
  • Manage PAYGW payments, reconcile Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgements, and oversee compliance via ATO portals.
  • Maintain WorkCover records, submit lodgements, and support premium reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze payroll discrepancies and labor cost fluctuations across business units.
  • Prepare audit documentation and respond to both internal and external information requests.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in payroll compliance, payroll accounting, or similar positions.
  • Practical knowledge in payroll tax preparation, reconciliation, and lodgement.
  • Experience within large, complex organizations, especially those operating across multiple states or with multi-entity, high-volume payrolls.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, and PAYG obligations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with payroll and accounting software systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
