Position and Schedule
This is a full-time role with day shifts located at 1035 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, Georgia 30701.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient treatments adhering strictly to established policies and procedures, adapting care to patient age, physical condition, acuity, and cultural needs
- Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies
- Engage in quality improvement activities and adapt to enhancements in care practice
- Comply with isolation protocols, utilize protective equipment suitably, and maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Demonstrate eagerness and commitment to continual professional skill development
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure a clean and secure environment to promote safety for patients and staff
- Support patient care delivery as a collaborative team member under registered nurse supervision
- Document and report procedures accurately following departmental policies
- Assist in nursing history collection and report any abnormalities to the registered nurse
- Identify patient needs and support accordingly
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of relevant patient care technician experience preferred
- Previous experience in bedside patient care, unit secretary, monitor technician, or similar medical roles preferred
- Mandatory certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and one of the following: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A), NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $15.16 to $24.26 per hour.
