About Radius Care
Radius Care is a New Zealand owned and operated organization specializing in elderly and disability health and aged care services. Position Location and Hours
This position is based at Radius Windsor Court, 20 Sandes Street, Ōhaupō 3803, Waikato, New Zealand. The role involves part-time work amounting to 15 hours weekly on a rotating shift roster.
Work Visa Information
Radius Care cannot assist with work visa sponsorship or visa changes for part-time Healthcare Assistants. Applicants must hold a valid visa with open work rights, ideally with at least six months remaining before expiration.
Compensation
The pay rate depends upon the completion of recognized caregiving qualifications.
Role Overview
The Healthcare Assistant provides exceptional care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves establishing meaningful connections with residents and their families, collaborating with the care team to implement personalized care plans, with full training provided.
Primary Responsibilities
- Delivering personal care while encouraging residents' autonomous decision-making to foster independence
- Timely completion of tasks delegated by nursing staff
- Promptly responding to residents’ requests and offering pertinent information
- Maintaining and updating healthcare records for residents
- Supporting smooth handovers of resident care during shift changes

Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and relevant experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy toward residents and their families
- Effective written and oral communication abilities
- Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
