Operations Specialist

About the Role

Bestlaminate, a family-owned e-commerce flooring retailer based in Willoughby, OH, established in 2003, continues to grow by helping customers renovate their homes nationwide. Due to expansion, we seek an experienced Operations Specialist to manage daily operational tasks efficiently and calmly, ensuring smooth processes every day.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment coordination
• Monitor shipments, address and resolve logistics challenges, and communicate with freight carriers
• Assist in purchasing activities: placing orders, monitoring inbound stock, and vendor follow-up
• Handle customer and carrier claims from initial receipt through resolution, including proper documentation
• Professionally de-escalate difficult customer situations with empathy
• Maintain accurate documentation using order management systems, spreadsheets, and claim trackers
• Provide support to operations and customer service teams wherever needed during the day

Requirements

• A minimum of two years' experience in operations, logistics, purchasing, claims, or a closely related coordination role
• A proven record of steady employment demonstrating reliability and follow-through
• Exceptional organizational skills to track multiple tasks simultaneously without oversight
• Demonstrated capability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
• Calm and professional communication skills, with the ability to defuse tense situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); familiarity with ERP or order management software like NetSuite is advantageous
• High attention to detail
• Open to any educational background, though a post-secondary degree is preferred

• Annual salary between $40,000 and $50,000, depending on experience
