NOC Engineer - Satellite Operations

Overview

We are seeking a NOC Engineer specialized in satellite operations for a contract role based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The position involves monitoring and supporting network operations centers (NOC), focusing on satellite and telecom networks with a commitment of at least 12 months.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Manage NOC operations with a strong emphasis on incident management and partner escalations within multi-vendor environments.
• Analyze network signaling protocols such as Diameter, SIP, and NAS, and interpret routing fundamentals and core-network dynamics effectively.
• Handle telecom connectivity processes including SIM activations, attach protocols, mobility management, and authentication routines.
• Perform detailed examination of logs, trace files, routing tables, and event correlations across different network elements to ensure smooth network functionality.
• Utilize OSS/NMS platforms for network supervision, alarm monitoring, KPI tracking, and dashboard management.
• Engage with Linux operating systems, employing scripting capabilities in Python or Bash to troubleshoot and automate tasks.
• Possess a foundational comprehension of satellite network infrastructures including gateways and hybrid RAN-core interactions.

Experience Requirements

• Between 2 to 5 years of practical experience in NOC operations, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support roles.
• Previous involvement with signaling flows, routing tables, authentication mechanisms, or components of mobile-core networks.
