Multimedia Designer

About the Role

Amazon's Gift Cards Design team is expanding and seeks a creative Multimedia Designer passionate about elevating visual and motion design for electronic and physical gift card experiences. The team focuses on innovative packaging, marketing, and product design to delight a global customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop both static and animated visual assets, championing innovative design concepts that challenge creative norms.
• Create storyboards, illustrations, and sketches aligned with creative vision, market trends, and customer insights.
• Utilize AI-based tools and generative design processes to accelerate creativity, explore visual ideas, and enhance production efficiency.
• Design scalable Figma templates and component libraries to facilitate smooth handoffs and cross-team collaboration.
• Work collaboratively with creative teams to produce compelling motion designs, branded videos, and multimedia storytelling experiences.
• Manage and optimize design templates and workflows to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality across illustration, animation, and video projects.
• Maintain and enforce best practices for the global Gift Card design and motion style guide to ensure cohesive creative direction.
• Participate actively in idea generation and professional critique sessions to inspire continuous creative growth.
• Effectively juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while owning deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in design experience with a strong online portfolio demonstrating capabilities.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite on macOS, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
• Strong visual design skills with a talent for creating simple, elegant, and user-friendly layouts and icons.
• Proficiency in Figma, including creating templates, component libraries, and scalable design systems.
• Fluent in animation techniques, motion graphics, and storytelling through storyboarding.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience designing for e-commerce platforms, search, social media, and diverse UX patterns.
• Background in creating multi-touchpoint user services and applications across various devices and platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual base salary between 120,500 and 163,000 USD, with additional benefits such as sign-on bonuses, restricted stock units, comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), life insurance options, mental health support, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
