MERN Stack Developer

Role Overview

HCLTech is hiring a MERN Stack Developer for its Pune office. The role is focused on creating scalable web applications and delivering robust software solutions using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

What You’ll Do

• Build, enhance, and support web applications developed on the MERN technology stack.
• Create responsive user interfaces with React.js and current frontend development tools.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work on MongoDB database structure, schema design, and performance improvements.
• Write clean code while keeping application quality, speed, and scalability in mind.
• Partner with QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features smoothly.
• Investigate, isolate, and fix defects and production issues.

Skills and Experience Needed

• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
• Practical experience with React.js, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Comfort with MongoDB and other NoSQL database systems.
• Understanding of REST APIs and microservices-based architecture.
• Exposure to Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with frontend basics such as HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap or Tailwind.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Redux or Next.js.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in Agile or Scrum delivery methods.
