Material Logistics Officer - Sino Iron Mine

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Material Logistics Officer to join our team supporting operations at the Sino Iron project, specifically focused on a major Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) construction. This position entails managing the procurement of parts, coordinating freight and logistics, and supporting maintenance activities for a heavy mobile equipment fleet to ensure uninterrupted TSF embankment and earthworks processing within a collaborative high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and sourcing parts necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Generating and processing purchase orders via Epicor ERP system.
• Organizing and tracking freight to guarantee punctual delivery of parts to site.
• Collaborating with Maintenance Planners to anticipate work schedules and material requirements.
• Overseeing parts inventory and monitoring supplier lead times to avoid delays.
• Prioritizing and expediting urgent and essential orders for critical components.
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and inventory.
• Working closely with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders to reduce equipment downtime.

Candidate Profile

• Proven background in material logistics or maintenance planning within mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Solid knowledge of supply chain and logistics management, especially in remote mining environments.
• Hands-on experience utilizing Epicor or comparable ERP software.
• Excellent organisational capabilities to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Strong communication proficiency and ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Keen attention to detail paired with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
