Marine Technician

Role Summary

The Marine Technician will be responsible for servicing yachts presented for repair across locations including Freeport, Nassau, and Abacos in The Bahamas. Collaborating closely with the Yachts Project Lead, this role ensures all yacht systems are fully functional before handover to the owner, performing repairs to industry benchmarks and maintaining thorough digital records of all activities. This is a practical position requiring occasional non-standard work hours.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diverse boat systems for both power and sail yachts, encompassing plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and cosmetic fit and finish issues.
• Employ appropriate marine maintenance tools and equipment.
• Manage and document multiple work orders utilizing computer or mobile documentation systems.
• Collaborate with project leads to resolve ongoing projects and assignments.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment consistently.
• Ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulatory compliance.
• Uphold rigorous health and safety protocols and report any concerns instantly to management.
• Utilize familiar computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and associated data systems as needed.
• Maintain a cooperative and helpful disposition with colleagues, other departments, customers, and business collaborators.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of professional experience working on yachts.
• Possession of an Electrical or Technical Diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Competence in digital literacy and document management.
• A strong commitment to a solid work ethic.
• Ability to remain calm and positive during busy or high-pressure situations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
