About the Role and Team
Walmart's Customer Engagement Services (CES) team handles over 10 million contacts yearly via phone, chat, and email, providing frontline support to customers, stores, and associates in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. As a Manager, People Partner for CES, you will be an instrumental figure in fostering a high-performance, associate-focused culture by aligning HR strategies with business priorities and enhancing associate engagement and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies fostering fairness and aligning with Walmart's core values.
- Oversee full associate lifecycle activities including onboarding, performance management, grievance handling, and separation processes emphasizing operational excellence.
- Manage recurring HR processes such as goal setting, performance reviews, promotions, and compensation planning with accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead talent discussions at the team level to support development opportunities, succession plans, and career growth.
- Analyze internal and external data to provide insights driving strategic HR decisions and organizational improvements.
- Design and implement engagement programs and communication forums to strengthen transparency, inclusion, and associate belonging.
- Develop initiatives focused on associate satisfaction and retention tailored to CES needs to elevate morale and engagement.
- Coordinate learning and development efforts to promote skill enhancement and career progression.
- Coach team leaders and managers in handling people management challenges empathetically and effectively.
- Collaborate with HR functions ensuring smooth execution of people transactions, compliance, and improvements in processes.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards tracking progress on people goals and emerging trends to guide talent strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline from a reputed institution.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in HR roles, with proven exposure to HR Business Partnering in IT, consulting, or high-volume service sectors.
- Strong foundation in HR principles including performance management, employee experience, and policy adherence.
- Ability to build and sustain trusting relationships across diverse groups with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, capable of translating trends into actionable HR initiatives.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with a proactive stance on ambiguity and continuous improvement.
- Growth mindset with adaptability to change fostering innovation.
- Willingness to work varied shift schedules including night shifts to support business operations effectively.
