Manager - Logistics Integration

Role overview

This position is responsible for leading logistics and transportation integration work across Elanco’s ecosystem. The role focuses on building, rolling out, and supporting integration solutions that connect Elanco with logistics service providers, carriers, and transportation platforms. It also involves in-depth process discussions with LSPs to align business workflows and integration needs with Elanco’s operational requirements.

The manager will drive Transportation Management integration programs end to end, from discovering requirements and shaping the solution to testing, deployment, and post-launch support. The work is done in close partnership with Global Logistics, IT, O2C, Quality, affiliate teams, and external logistics partners to deliver robust, scalable integrations for transportation and logistics operations.

To succeed in this role, the candidate should bring strong experience in TM integrations, including SAP TM, ERP environments, EDI/API technologies, and middleware such as SAP PI/PO, CPI, and Integration Suite. A practical understanding of logistics execution, including transportation planning, carrier onboarding, shipment execution, freight settlement, track-and-trace, and proof of delivery, is essential. Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences are also key.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support transportation management integrations linking SAP TM, ERP systems, logistics service providers, carriers, and external transport platforms.
• Own the definition and governance of integration needs for shipment creation, transportation orders, freight order processing, shipment status visibility, proof of delivery, and freight settlement.
• Work with Global Logistics and IT to advance the TM integration roadmap and build standard, scalable solutions across regions and business units.
• Run business process discussions with LSPs, identify process gaps or required changes, and map processes where needed to support integration.
• Understand how LSPs manage stock states and unit-of-measure conversions within their ERP systems.
• Recommend the right integration method based on transaction volumes such as inbound, outbound, scrapping, returns, and physical stock adjustments; define the integration objects and rules to match operational requirements.
• Apply knowledge of PI/PO concepts and BRF+ tables when shaping solutions.
• Plan, coordinate, and support testing with LSP partners in line with project schedules.
• Prepare and execute cutover activities with LSPs within agreed timelines.
• Act as a go-to authority for data integration topics across the business and with external stakeholders.
• Serve as the escalation point for major integration and API service issues.
• Coach and guide Business Process Analysts who support integration monitoring and help build a culture of stronger integration practices.
• Develop and refresh LSP integration training material, including support documentation and SOPs.
• Work with support teams to resolve production incidents and introduce preventive measures to reduce repeat issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and third-party suppliers to secure commitment for integration services.

Requirements

• A university degree in Engineering, Mathematics, IT, Supply Chain, or an MBA.
• At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics integration and TM integration in a global or regional supply chain environment, with a mix of IT, project management, and operational exposure.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams and leading change across a diverse, multi-geo organization.
• Broad awareness of supply chain issues that affect global operations, including regulatory, environmental, and quality-related considerations.
• Business-minded, customer-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working through ambiguity.
• Strong self-management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to influence others through discussion and persuasion, including in stakeholder forums.
• Experience in complex global matrix organizations.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical capability, along with a structured way of working.
• Ability to work with and interpret large data sets.
• Prior exposure to Warehouse Management and/or Transportation Management systems.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
• Preferred: Supply Chain knowledge with APICS certification.
• Preferred: SAP or related certifications.
• Travel is not required.
