Role Impact and Overview
As the Manager of Business Operations, you will be the principal analyst and operational coordinator, delivering comprehensive insights on company performance spanning revenue, costs, demand, and capacity to support executive leadership’s strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Enablement, this role synthesizes diverse financial and operational data into single-source dashboards, driving business growth, optimizing efficiency, and enhancing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as the primary operations business partner, providing data-driven strategic insights that influence operational decisions.
- Aggregate diverse data sets—including revenue, cost, demand, capacity, and workforce metrics—into unified performance reporting.
- Detect early signals, trends, and risks before they affect financial outcomes, enabling proactive interventions.
- Create executive dashboards and standardized reporting tools for transparent tracking of KPIs such as backlog, margin, productivity, and forecast accuracy.
- Manage comprehensive operational forecasting—including demand planning, revenue forecasts, labor/material costs, fleet and workforce utilization—and produce scenario and capacity models.
- Lead business reviews and performance discussions, delivering root cause analyses, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Fleet, IT, and Data teams to ensure data consistency, integrity, and system alignment.
- Enhance reporting infrastructure by automating processes and expanding analytics capabilities through platforms like Power BI.
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts responsible for various facets of business analytics, encouraging analytical rigor and strategic ownership.
- Establish governance and standardized processes fostering accountability and improved operational execution.
Professional Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Over 7 years in business operations, analytics, finance, or organizational strategy with at least 3 years managing analytics or operations teams.
- Demonstrated capability to integrate operational and financial data into executive reports and forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of operational factors including revenue drivers, labor management, fleet, materials, and capacity planning, linked effectively to financial results.
- Proficient in forecast and financial modeling, scenario planning, variance analysis, and KPI frameworks.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools, dashboard creation, and data modeling.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple departments including Finance, Operations, Fleet, IT, and executive management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience leading process improvements, automation, and establishing operational governance.
- Preferred background in industries such as telecommunications, utilities, energy, construction, or field services.
- Familiarity with ERP and enterprise planning/reporting systems is advantageous.
- Additional certifications such as MBA, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP are beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
Pearce is committed to equitable pay practices, offering a salary range of $95,000 to $130,000 USD annually, influenced by skills, experience, and location. Eligible employees may receive bonuses, incentives, stipends for tools and equipment, company vehicles, and per diem allowances.
