About the Role
The Loss Prevention Executive position involves comprehensive security and safety management across the property, including patrolling all areas, securing rooms, and assisting guests with access. Key duties include conducting emergency drills, routine hazard and safety checks, investigations, interviews, and audits of key controls. The executive will oversee CCTV and alarm monitoring, control access to restricted zones, assist during emergencies, respond to accidents, and manage first aid or CPR situations. Handling disturbances with adherence to company protocols, resolving safety hazards, managing complaints, and escorting unauthorized individuals off the premises are also essential.
This role requires ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage laws, using appropriate communication codes for assistance calls, and processing employee paperwork properly. Assisting management in employee training, motivating teams, and acting as a role model within the framework of the company's Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process is crucial. All company policies and procedures, including accident reporting, safety training, and uniform standards, must be strictly followed. Confidentiality of sensitive information and protecting company assets are also critical responsibilities.
The executive will consistently greet guests warmly, anticipate and meet their service needs, communicate professionally, and use proper telephone etiquette. The role fosters positive interpersonal relationships, team support to meet shared goals, and attentive listening to employee concerns. Upholding high-quality standards and expectations is mandatory. Additional state-specific licensing or registration may be required.
Physical and Operational Requirements
- Ability to read and visually verify information in multiple formats, including small print.
- Visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery to detect defects.
- Use of computers and point of sale systems for work-related data entry and retrieval.
- Capability to move swiftly to respond to situations, including running and walking.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for entire shifts.
- Manual handling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier items with assistance.
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for manipulating various objects.
- Navigating confined, narrow, or elevated spaces as needed.
- Movement over uneven or slippery surfaces, including stairs and service ramps.
- Physical movements such as reaching overhead or below knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least two years of relevant work experience in loss prevention or security roles.
- At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- No specific licenses or certifications required, though additional state requirements may apply.
