About the Role
Tesla is dedicated to speeding the world's adoption of sustainable energy. Our Engineering Centre in Berlin Köpenick is instrumental in developing and refining automotive products, collaborating closely with engineering teams worldwide.
As a Logistics Coordinator within this engineering environment, you will play a vital role in facilitating smooth logistics operations that underpin engineering success. Your responsibilities will include guaranteeing a consistent flow of materials, maintaining organized and effective warehouse processes, and creating structured logistics solutions that can scale to meet engineering demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt and movement of parts and materials to ensure engineers can work without interruptions or unexpected delays.
- Monitor supplier shipments to confirm that deliveries arrive securely and punctually.
- Assist in the preparation and shipping of prototypes and project materials to teams at global locations.
- Organize the warehouse by labeling, storing, and tracking stock using digital inventory systems.
- Support new projects by ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are prepared prior to project commencement.
- Serve as a crucial link between engineering staff, warehouse personnel, and suppliers to coordinate logistics activities.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, or managing material flow, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Completion of a vocational training program (Ausbildung) or higher education credentials such as a technical college diploma or associate degree.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling principles.
- Proficiency in logistics management software including SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or equivalents.
- Additional familiarity with logistics technologies like TMS and WMS is advantageous.
- Ability to operate independently within a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong English communication skills required; German language proficiency is beneficial.
