This opportunity is presented by a partner company seeking a Lead Analyst specializing in Player Analytics based in Canada. Reporting responsibilities include collaborating extensively with teams across marketing, product management, revenue operations, and VIP operations to discover valuable insights that drive player engagement and increase customer lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, and VIP teams to prioritize high-impact analytics initiatives targeting player acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Lead analytics projects tied to bonus and incentive programs, assessing effectiveness, optimizing program parameters, and enhancing player value and ROI.
Examine player behaviors across various products to uncover patterns in engagement, identify obstacles, and pinpoint monetization and personalization opportunities.
Create and implement analytical frameworks that support segmentation, lifecycle evaluation, retention optimization, and product recommendations.
Utilize machine learning techniques and AI-driven tools to expedite analysis, refine workflows, and augment analytic capabilities.
Develop predictive models including churn forecasting, propensity scoring, and lifetime value optimization to support strategic decisions.
Deliver clear, compelling communication of insights through narratives and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally to identify improvement areas and drive quantifiable business results.

Qualifications and Skills

At least 3 years of analytics experience, preferably in gaming, sports betting, consumer products, or other behaviorally rich industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience.
Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex functions like windowing, CTEs, and handling large datasets efficiently.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, capable of developing optimized analytical queries.
Proven aptitude for translating complex data analyses into actionable business insights.
Expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, statistical significance, and interpreting results in commercial contexts.
Experience with funnel analysis, cohort studies, player lifecycle models, retention metrics, and engagement measurement.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and practical application of AI tools in analytics workflows.
Preferred experience with dbt for transformations, Python programming for analysis or automation, segmentation models, predictive analytics, and lifetime value assessments.
Background in gaming sectors such as iGaming, sportsbooks, casinos, or promotion analytics is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, a curious mindset, sense of ownership, and capability to work autonomously in collaborative teams.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
