Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Label Relations Coordinator to join our San Francisco office. Reporting to the VP of Label Relations, this role involves providing vital operational, administrative, and campaign coordination support for numerous artist releases. This fast-paced position requires proactive multitasking capabilities and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive release timelines, campaign trackers, and project management tools.
- Manage logistics of multiple concurrent artist campaigns, ensuring that deadlines, deliverables, and approvals remain on track.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, take notes, and monitor follow-up actions.
- Organize artist assets, marketing materials, campaign files, and release documentation efficiently.
- Assist with marketing budget management, invoice tracking, expense reconciliation, and campaign performance reporting.
- Maintain and update release calendars to guarantee current campaign information is accessible to internal teams.
- Collect and compile streaming data, playlist placements, social engagement, and campaign metrics for reporting and artist feedback.
- Act as a communication liaison between artists, managers, label partners, and internal departments to coordinate requests and information flow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Digital Marketing, Creative, Commerce, Publicity, DSP Relations, and Distribution to ensure cohesive campaign efforts.
- Support the preparation of presentations, marketing one-sheets, and campaign documents.
- Conduct market research on industry trends, competitive releases, and artist opportunities as required.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts, missing deliverables, or operational bottlenecks proactively to avoid delays.
- Assist with various projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience within the music, entertainment, or digital marketing sectors.
- Strong enthusiasm for artist marketing, label operations, or music distribution.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid experience in administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Ability to perform well under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experienced in managing confidential material with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Familiarity with project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, Notion, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with release schedules, marketing campaigns, DSP reporting, or music distribution technology.
- Passion for independent music and artist development is a plus.
- Self-motivated and upbeat personality with strong persistence and a willingness to tackle all kinds of tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by benefits, a discretionary bonus, and participation in a profit-sharing plan. The final salary will consider internal equity, location, relevant skills, and experience.
