Job description

Role Overview

As a Key Account Manager with L'Oréal’s Consumer Products Division, focused on Woolworths New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success for our renowned cosmetic beauty brands in the New Zealand market. Building and nurturing solid partnerships will be essential to maximizing brand visibility and performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategic account plans aimed at significantly growing sales, including managing product launches, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and category management.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by deeply understanding clients’ needs and challenges, offering customized solutions, and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure flawless delivery of client projects and initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop a Key Account Executive, fostering an environment that promotes optimal performance and continuous professional growth through constructive feedback and practical learning.
  • Oversee financial aspects of your portfolio including sales forecasting, optimizing promotional spend for maximum return on investment, and managing budgets.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced in key account management, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proficiency in communication and negotiation, adept at balancing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial mindset with confidence in budget management and analyzing financial performance.
  • Data-driven and outcome-focused approach with the ability to translate market insights into strategic actions.
