Role Overview

This full-time position based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, involves managing smaller, lower-risk warehouse installation projects across Australia. The Junior Project Manager will work closely under the guidance of a National Project Manager to ensure timely and successful delivery of these projects, from internal handover to close-out.

Key Duties

• Review project handover documents, including scopes, site requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate labor, scheduling, equipment, materials, travel, and other project needs.
• Verify site preparation before project kickoff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day coordination of assigned projects.
• Maintain communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, supervisors, and on-site teams.
• Monitor progress, manage documentation, control resources, and track costs.
• Anticipate and report risks, delays, variations, and financial impacts early.
• Contribute to safe and compliant project execution.
• Complete project close-out procedures including quality assurance, client sign-offs, and formal handover.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is organized, practical, commercially aware, and confident in liaising with both clients and site personnel. Experience in project coordination, site or construction administration, installation coordination, operations, or resource scheduling within relevant industries like warehouse, logistics, construction, or materials handling is advantageous.

Essential qualities include strong organizational abilities, multitasking proficiency, effective communication skills, high attention to detail, and a calm, proactive approach to resolving problems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, logistics, engineering, operations, or trades are preferred but not mandatory.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a White Card.
• Current Australian driver’s license is preferred.
• Legal entitlement to work in Australia.
• Availability for occasional site visits and travel.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 annually plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and industry background.
