In this role, the Junior Interface Developer will contribute to connecting operational data with financial planning systems through dependable interfaces.

Role overview

This is a junior, fully remote role for someone interested in the technical side of finance systems and data movement. You will support senior consultants in designing, configuring, and maintaining data flows between business applications. The work centers on mappings, transformations, integration tool setup, and ensuring that data is transferred accurately into the client’s reporting environment.

Documentation is an important part of the job, since the deliverables must remain usable after the engagement ends. You will work under close guidance rather than independently managing projects, and the role is intended to help you learn how to build maintainable, predictable systems instead of overly complex setups that are hard to support.

Key responsibilities

Help configure data integration tools that connect logistics databases with financial planning applications.
Prepare and maintain documentation covering data mappings and interface logic so the client can continue using the solution independently.
Track data loads and investigate issues when values do not reconcile across systems.
Run basic SQL checks to confirm data quality and identify mismatches in source files.
Work with senior consultants to turn business needs into technical interface designs.
Support testing of new integrations so month-end close activities are not disrupted.
Keep code and configuration organized by following established version control practices.
Assist in creating reusable templates for common data transformation tasks.

Requirements

Basic understanding of data structures and how information is stored in relational databases.
Working familiarity with SQL or a similar query language.
Strong written communication skills, especially for creating clear handover documentation.
Logical problem-solving ability and curiosity about how business systems exchange data.
Self-discipline and comfort working independently in a fully remote setting.
Basic Excel knowledge, particularly functions used for organizing and comparing data.
Willingness to learn enterprise performance management tools such as Oracle EPM or SAP BPC.
Professional attitude and readiness to follow guidance from senior technical team members.
