Junior Content Writer

About the role

Digivizer is hiring a junior content writer with strong writing fundamentals and a genuine eagerness to grow. The position sits within the Strategic Communications team and supports the agency side of the business, contributing to digital storytelling across executive thought leadership, brand social channels, digital editorial, websites, creative assets, video, and PR.

The role focuses on producing both long-form and short-form content for social platforms, EDMs, and websites. It is well suited to someone with a journalism or communications background, or a writer with 1 to 2 years of experience who wants to move into a more digital, data-led environment. This is an early-career opportunity for someone who learns quickly, adapts easily, and wants to help deliver meaningful campaigns across content and social channels.

Responsibilities

• Write original, engaging long-form and short-form content for clients, including articles and social posts.
• Contribute ideas for content and support the development of new initiatives.
• Edit and proofread copy for use across digital channels.
• Help shape supporting creative assets such as social posts, banners, and images.
• Draft clear briefs for campaigns and creative work.
• Assist with executive interviews and turn captured material into strong thought-leadership content.
• Build content for social media calendars.
• Schedule and publish content across relevant platforms.
• Keep deliverables aligned with deadlines and client expectations.
• Track engagement and comments, and suggest ways to improve performance.
• Maintain strong standards in the delivery of social content, digital assets, and campaigns.
• Stay organised and manage work so projects move smoothly from planning through to completion.

Requirements

• Background in journalism, public relations, or communications, or completion of a journalism cadetship.
• 1 to 2 years of experience writing for B2B digital campaigns, social media, or digital publishing/media platforms.
• Experience in journalism, campaign writing, article writing, or thought-leadership writing.
• Comfortable working in a flexible and agile environment.
• Eager to learn, take on challenges, and develop professionally.
• Motivated by results and impact.
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to take a project from idea to execution.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Additional information

This role follows a hybrid working arrangement. Most work is done from home, with at least 3 days per month required in the Sydney CBD office. Digivizer is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) workplace.
