Joint Movements and Travel Specialist (Defence)

Overview

The Joint Movements and Travel Specialist will deliver both administrative and operational support for an extensive range of services related to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel stationed at Al Minhad Air Base. This role includes managing accommodation bookings, coordinating travel arrangements such as relocations and scheduled leave, facilitating Base Pass operations, and assisting in maintaining security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate movement operations in support of minor military missions in the Middle East.
• Serve as a liaison and provide guidance to ADF units and coalition forces regarding movement procedures.
• Arrange necessary transport logistics.
• Advise ADF personnel on travel preparation requirements.
• Manage shipment logistics for cargo transported on scheduled ADF flights from Al Minhad Airbase.
• Report all personnel and cargo movements in alignment with ADF standard operating procedures.
• Support Pass Office functions by preparing and processing identification card applications and renewals, generating reports, handling correspondence, and scheduling related appointments.
• Coordinate between Serco's Accommodation team and customers to ensure seamless accommodation arrangements for arriving and departing personnel.
• Perform escort duties when required to safeguard ADF assets and confidential information.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Contract Specialist Lead or Fire & Security Manager to ensure effective service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years experience in an administrative role within a dynamic operational setting.
• Preferably previous exposure to base operations environments.
• Commitment to enhancing wellbeing for both ADF and Serco staff.
• Strong security focus with detailed understanding of AGSVA Security Clearance standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Must hold a current Australian Federal Security Clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1 or higher, issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
• Current valid Australian driver's license is essential, enabling the acquisition of a UAE driving license.

Additional Notes

The position requires an AGSVA security clearance due to the sensitive nature of the tasks, including escorting non-cleared personnel when necessary. The role is based on-site at Al Minhad Air Base in Dubai, UAE.
