Role Overview
We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our expanding IT department. Reporting to the Associate Director, IT, this hands-on role emphasizes managing IT systems with a focus on automation, scalability, and security. The successful candidate will troubleshoot issues independently, automate manual processes via APIs, and collaborate with various business teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT applications and services including JumpCloud, Google Workspace Enterprise, Slack, Zoom, and Confluence/Jira.
- Configure and oversee access and identity management for third-party platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, RingCentral, and Microsoft 365.
- Automate repetitive processes using APIs to create scalable and repeatable workflows.
- Plan and execute IT projects including deploying new services and migrating tools.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide bespoke technical solutions.
- Deliver Tier 2 support by diagnosing root causes, managing issue resolution, and escalating complex problems as needed.
- Draft and maintain technical and user-friendly IT policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT infrastructure or support roles.
- Post-secondary diploma or university degree in a relevant technical or vocational field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), VPNs, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems.
- Familiar with SSO connectors including SCIM and Just-In-Time provisioning.
- Strong skills in API utilization and automation solution development.
- Practical experience managing centralized Identity and Access Management (IAM) and IT support platforms like Jira Service Management.
- Hands-on proficiency with tools such as JumpCloud (or Okta), Google Workspace Enterprise, Office 365, and Salesforce.
- Capability to use data and metrics to prioritize tasks and translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements.

Compensation
Annual base salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 CAD, exclusive of performance bonuses. Actual salary is determined by location, skill set, experience, and other factors. Additional performance-based incentives may be offered.
