Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Support Technician based in Gillman, Adelaide, to join our team at a leading Australian footwear company. This position offers an excellent starting point for individuals beginning their career in IT, including recent graduates and those with up to two years of technical support experience. You will work within a supportive team atmosphere with opportunities to progress into Level 2 Support, Application Support, or IT Project roles.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver first-level technical assistance to retail stores and the Support Centre team.
- Diagnose and fix issues related to POS systems, payment devices, laptops, printers, and network infrastructure.
- Record, prioritize, and escalate support tickets while ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
- Support hardware installations, configurations, and provide on-site assistance as needed.
- Keep documentation up-to-date, contribute to the IT knowledge base, and assist with IT project implementations and rollouts.
- Provide rostered support coverage corresponding to retail store trading hours, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology or hold 1 to 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Experience and familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, hardware troubleshooting, and fundamental networking concepts.
- Strong communication skills capable of conveying technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to remain calm and effectively manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- A keen interest and enthusiasm for continuous learning and skills development.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous but not mandatory, as training and support will be provided.
