Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive Island Manager for an Offshore Project Management Consultancy (PMC) project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position involves comprehensive oversight and leadership of all offshore island project activities, ensuring safety, punctuality, and cost efficiency across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup stages. The role combines elements of site construction management with robust project execution and interface leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders on the island including EPC contractors, drilling teams, logistics, project management teams, and support personnel.
• Act as Incident Commander, overseeing integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems among EPC contractors to guarantee emergency preparedness, equipment readiness, and personnel training.
• Manage the operation and maintenance of the Temporary Accommodation Camp and related utilities such as Reverse Osmosis (RO), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Diesel Engine Generator (DEG), HVAC, chillers, and fresh water systems, along with projects in the Temporary Storage Facility areas.
• Ensure the welfare of all personnel by conducting regular audits and welfare meetings.
• Supervise space allocation for contractors, drilling, logistics, and projects on the island's plot plan.
• Manage safe vehicle movement, traffic control, site access, transport arrangements, and marine logistics on the island.
• Coordinate with medical teams to effectively manage emergencies.
• Enforce compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) programs and waste management protocols.
• Oversee harbour management and materials handling to ensure safe marine and aviation operations.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to all departments and project package teams via Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS).
• Plan and optimize resources including manpower, equipment, and materials on the island.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and execute operational excellence aligned with corporate goals.
• Conduct daily meetings to foster communication and collaboration across stakeholders.
• Serve as the central point of contact between island personnel and headquarters/project leadership teams.
• Implement clear communication channels across departments and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in offshore island management within the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 5 years' mandatory experience in offshore operations.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role.
• Proven track record collaborating on projects with ADNOC or comparable major operators in the Middle East.
• Extensive expertise in island/offshore operations, facility management, and logistics coordination.
• Experience in EPC and PMC projects, including construction, commissioning, and maintenance support phases.
• Hands-on involvement in marine logistics, materials management, and personnel mobilization.
• Demonstrated experience in PMC or client-side functions within ADNOC or similar environments.
• Prior involvement in ADNOC projects in a similar capacity is advantageous.
