International Advanced Level Statistics Examiner (2018 Specification)

Role Overview

We seek an examiner to assess International Advanced Level Mathematics candidates specializing in the 2018 specification. The examiner will evaluate candidate responses adhering closely to a specified mark scheme and examination protocols. Most marking is completed electronically via ePEN from home, although some subjects may involve traditional paper-based marking. Strong subject-matter expertise is essential to accurately apply the marking criteria. Each examiner will receive a designated number of scripts for grading.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and consistently marking exam scripts to uphold uniform standards.
• Submitting sample marked scripts to the Team Leader by set deadlines.
• Meeting all marking milestones within the allotted timeframe.
• Completing all administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least one academic year of teaching experience in the relevant subject and qualification within the past eight years.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.

Required Competencies

• Capability to perform well under pressure.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines effectively.
• Advanced knowledge of subject material to apply marking schemes accurately.

Additional Details

• The marking period occurs from May through July.
• Necessary examiner training will be provided between May and June.
