Position Summary
This full-time, on-site role based in Delta, BC seeks an Interior Design Drafter responsible for creating precise technical and architectural drawings of both custom and standardized cabinetry. The position requires adherence to design and construction standards to support manufacturing and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate design concepts into detailed CAD drawings and production documents.
- Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
- Update and revise technical drawings in response to feedback while maintaining organized documentation.
- Assist the quoting process by providing exact measurements, layouts, and material specifics.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior design drafting.
- Proficiency with Cabinet Vision 2020 and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Ability to create and interpret engineering and manufacturing production drawings.
- Experienced in preparing architectural floor plans, elevations, and sections for interior spaces.
- Knowledge of appliance drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and custom millwork cabinetry drafting.
- Strong attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and ability to work from measurements and design briefs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with design, sales, and production divisions.
- Background in millwork, cabinetry, or interior construction is advantageous.
- Capability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively within a workshop or office setting.
