About the Role
Located in Whitby, Ontario, this position with a reputable industrial services and reliability solutions company involves working onsite with occasional travel. The role focuses on partnering with diverse manufacturing and operational clients, requiring a seasoned HR professional who actively contributes across various HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and ensuring compliance. This hands-on role supports several locations and works closely with leadership to enhance employee engagement and bolster business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle and onboarding procedures
- Handle employee relations and conduct workplace investigations as necessary
- Manage performance evaluations, provide coaching, implement corrective actions, and facilitate terminations
- Ensure adherence to employment laws and maintain HR best practices
- Collaborate with leadership to create and implement strategic people initiatives
- Organize employee training and development programs
- Lead efforts aimed at increasing employee engagement, retention, and promoting a positive workplace culture
- Maintain thorough HR documentation, policies, and reporting systems
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of three years' experience in HR generalist or management roles
- Proven expertise in employee relations and performance management
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms
- Strong understanding of employment legislations and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent communication capabilities and adept at managing stakeholder relationships
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Background in manufacturing, industrial sectors, warehousing, logistics, or operational settings is advantageous
