About the Role and Team
The HR Advisor will be based at the King Street site in Hastings, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, supporting leaders and employees to foster a safe, respectful, and high-performing work environment. Collaborating closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, Payroll, and Global Business Services (GBS), this role contributes to delivering strong HR foundations and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for daily HR inquiries, delivering timely and practical guidance.
- Coach managers and staff on applying HR policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
- Assist with employee-related processes including performance management, managing sickness absences, disciplinary issues, and grievances.
- Conduct site HR inductions to ensure smooth onboarding for new hires.
- Collaborate with Payroll to maintain accurate Kronos work codes and schedules, and address leave and payroll concerns, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Work alongside GBS to manage employee lifecycle tasks, such as new hire setup and contract drafting and management.
- Support benefits administration and promptly resolve any HR, Payroll, or GBS related matters with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Promote and embody Kraft Heinz’s core values while contributing to the company-wide and site-specific vision.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong confidentiality and discretion.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A positive and pragmatic attitude, with the confidence to engage effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Workday or other HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Experience supporting employee relations processes such as performance, absence management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures in a supported capacity.
