About the Role
At Cygnet Appletree, a facility committed to mental health recovery, we are searching for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Meadowfield, England. This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week over 7 days, typically 5 working days with about one in every 4 or 5 weekends on duty. The hospital specializes in women's mental health, featuring a specialist psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) and an intensive support service for personality disorders. Your role centers on maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment that supports our service users' rehabilitation and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness across the site to high standards consistently.
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning schedules thoroughly.
- Manage and restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is clean and functional.
- Follow safe working procedures and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) rules to ensure a safe environment.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or domestic roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with COSHH standards is advantageous.
- Approachable, conscientious with a positive outlook.
- Effective communication skills.
