About the Company
Accor operates the ibis Singapore on Bencoolen, an acclaimed 4-star hotel featuring 534 modernized rooms located centrally in Bugis, Singapore. Conveniently positioned near four MRT stations—Bencoolen, Bugis, Rochor, and Bras Basah—the hotel offers easy transit to landmarks such as Orchard Road, Chinatown, City Hall, Little India, and Suntec City. Bugis MRT station also provides a direct connection to Singapore Changi Airport, enhancing travel convenience.
Role Overview
The Hotel Technician supports the Assistant Chief Engineer and Senior Duty Engineer in ensuring the hotel's equipment and facilities function efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist daily operational tasks within the engineering department to sustain effective facility management.
- Carry out routine maintenance on hotel systems including plumbing, electrical devices, locks, HVAC, and bathroom installations to maintain optimal performance.
- Execute minor renovation assignments such as painting, carpeting, and furnishing to preserve the hotel's visual appeal and utility.
- Conduct periodic inspections of equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and arrange prompt repairs minimizing operational disruptions.
- Regularly verify and maintain firefighting equipment to meet safety regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive daily logs of maintenance and repair activities.
- Manage and update safety documentation to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Provide maintenance assistance to colleagues to swiftly address facility-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within hotels, facilities management, or building maintenance sectors.
- Possession of an ITE/Nitec Certificate in Building Facilities Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics, or Air Conditioning servicing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for recording maintenance tasks and communications.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external contractors.
- Capability to work alongside mechanics to diagnose and solve technical problems.
