Role overview

As a Host and Robotic Kitchen Operator, you will represent the goodBytz canteen while also running the robotic kitchen smoothly in day-to-day operations. The position blends hospitality, food preparation, quality control, and hands-on work with innovative cooking technology for lunch service, customer demonstrations, and special events.

goodBytz is using robotics to reshape how food is prepared and enjoyed, with the goals of easing pressure on food service teams, cutting food waste, and making high-quality cuisine scalable and accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Run the goodBytz canteen across daily service, from lunch operations to customer demos and events, and take ownership of the station.
• Prepare ingredients, complete mise en place, and set up the cooking robot before service begins.
• Monitor cooking workflows, spot irregularities early, and step in when needed to keep output consistent.
• Handle finishing, plating, and meal handover with attention to presentation and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised, hygienic, and service-ready workspace, following HACCP standards.
• Welcome employees and visitors warmly and help create a friendly, comfortable guest experience.

Profile and requirements

You should be excited by innovative technology and motivated to help push the intersection of hospitality and tech forward.

• Prior experience in gastronomy or hospitality, whether in service, kitchen work, or operations.
• Strong understanding of food handling, storage, hygiene, and cleanliness practices.
• A genuine host mindset with a service-first attitude and a focus on guest comfort.
• Comfort and curiosity around technology, including working with a robotic kitchen system.
• Fluent German and the ability to communicate in English.
