Established in 2006 and located in Ajman Al Jurf Industrial Area, United Arab Emirates, Global Lubricant Industry LLC is a prominent manufacturer of lubricants. The company maintains an Integrated Management System certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. They produce API and OEM approved products under the brand BENZOL® and supply to distributors across more than 108 countries covering Africa, America, Asia, GCC, and Europe. The firm also offers private label services to over 200 brands, spanning manufacturing, design, marketing, and quality control.
Role Overview
This position is for a full-time, on-site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer based in Ajman Emirate, UAE. The incumbent will oversee and administer HSE policies and procedures throughout the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to IMS standards and local legislation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits regularly to maintain workplace safety standards.
- Monitor occupational health practices and overall workplace safety conditions.
- Report, investigate, and ensure follow-up on incidents and near-misses occurring on site.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions to staff members.
- Maintain and update all safety-related documentation and records.
- Coordinate plans and preparedness for emergencies in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality departments to foster continuous safety improvements.
- Support requirements related to certifications and promote proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Champion a strong safety culture among employees at all levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid background in Health & Safety and workplace safety, especially within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), risk evaluations, hazard identification, and accident investigations.
- Possession of certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- Knowledge of UAE and GCC HSE regulations and experience with integrated management systems in industrial operations.
- Strong communication, training capabilities, and proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or relevant fields is preferred.
- Mandatory certification in HSE, Fire & Safety.
- Experience in lubricant, chemical, or manufacturing sectors and familiarity with emergency response planning is required.
