Head of Operations

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Operations to lead the organization's operational activities and ensure excellence across all functional areas. This full-time contract position involves driving operational strategies, optimizing processes, managing diverse teams, and fostering continuous performance improvement aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement operational strategies that support the company's vision and growth objectives.
• Oversee daily business operations to maximize efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Develop, refine, and maintain operational workflows, processes, and standards.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators and operational metrics, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, process optimization, automation, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure operational efforts are aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Handle resource planning, including workforce distribution, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Identify operational risks and implement strategies to maintain business continuity.
• Drive organizational change management and ongoing improvement projects.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, quality standards, and controls.
• Mentor and develop management and operational teams to cultivate accountability and high performance.
• Support strategic business planning, company expansion, and new opportunity evaluation.
• Prepare comprehensive executive reports, operational reviews, and performance updates for stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or related business management roles.
• Deep knowledge of operational strategies, process improvements, and performance management systems.
• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams managing complex operational functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude paired with decisive judgment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and performance tracking.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, business analytics platforms, and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to excel within a fast-moving, growth-focused environment.
• Commercially astute with strategic business insight.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or executive leadership certifications are advantageous.
