Overview
A well-established financial institution located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana is looking for a qualified professional to lead its Information and Communications Technology department as the Head of ICT. This is a full-time onsite role aimed at overseeing and advancing the bank's technological infrastructure and solutions aligned with corporate objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the ICT budget to align with organizational financial plans.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on software applications and digital technologies applicable to banking operations.
- Formulate strategic goals and objectives for the ICT department in sync with the bank's corporate vision.
- Choose and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance internal workflows and maximize strategic advantages.
- Customize and design technological platforms to improve user experiences for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Supervise the bank's technological assets, including networks and computer systems, ensuring they operate optimally and reliably.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee ICT projects to successful completion within scope and timeline.
- Monitor trends and developments in technology to identify opportunities for competitive edge and continuous organizational improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in a senior management role.
- Proven expertise within the banking or financial services sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of emerging banking and financial system trends.
- Strong dedication to ongoing professional development in ICT and banking fields.
- Demonstrated management proficiency in diverse contexts.
- Experience leading the practical implementation and deployment of ICT systems for various stakeholders.
- Holds relevant professional certifications in ICT-related programs.
