Overview

The Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg, located in northern Germany near the Danish border, invites applications for the permanent full-time or part-time position of Hausmeister*in at the Berufsbildungszentrum (BBZ) and Sozialzentrum in Kappeln. Main Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all janitorial and maintenance tasks in coordination with the Gebäudemanagement department and site leadership.
• Ensure compliance with building rules and maintain traffic safety on premises.
• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise cleaning personnel employed by the district administration and external companies; arrange substitutes with external providers when necessary.
• Monitor and operate technical facilities such as heating systems, control technology, fire extinguishing devices, fire alarm systems, burglary alarms, lighting, sanitary installations including water supply and drainage. Perform minor repairs as needed and maintain corresponding documentation, except for tasks assigned to facility technicians.
• Maintain outdoor areas.
• Assume duties related to weekend or shift work, emergency on-call services, winter maintenance, flagging, and building closing services.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as a technician or mechanic in sanitary, heating, and air conditioning systems.
• Hold a driver's license class B or 3; class BE is desirable.
• Proven work experience in the respective profession.
• Strong dedication and proactive initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in the German language appropriate to the role.

Additional Information

An extended criminal record check will be requested upon hiring. The position requires handling weekend, shift, and emergency duties as well as participation in winter services, flagging, and locking operations.

Employment Conditions

• Permanent contract.
• Full-time position comprising 39 hours per week; part-time employment possible with efforts to balance operational and personal needs.
• Salary according to pay group 5 of the collective tariff agreement TVöD, based on activity and qualifications.
