Job Overview

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas is looking for a meticulous Merchandise Pricer to join their team in Texarkana, TX. This hourly full-time position reports to the Store Manager and plays a crucial role in ensuring donated items meet quality standards and are accurately priced to support the organization's mission. The role contributes to creating a positive shopping environment and reflects the core values of service, stewardship, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain complete donor and customer satisfaction.
• Price items using a baseline price guide along with special pricing for unique or valuable goods.
• Keep the pricing area tidy and organized, and move merchandise between sales floor, stockroom, and other locations.
• Stock, display, and rotate merchandise on shelves, and apply markdowns in line with agency policies.
• Adhere strictly to Goodwill's policies and safety/security protocols.
• Meet production targets regularly to facilitate prompt inventory processing.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on merchandise categories, industry trends, and pricing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic math skills is necessary.
• Preferred knowledge areas include accessories, antiques, various hard goods, shoes, electronics, and furniture.
• Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit a friendly, positive demeanor.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Possession of a valid photo identification.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team setting.
• Access to reliable transportation and good manual dexterity.
• Capability to stand for extended periods, perform physical tasks, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

Workplace Demands

The job requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Lifting items up to 40 lbs is occasionally required, with assistance needed for heavier objects. Visual acuity for both near and distance tasks is essential.
