Graphic Designer

About the role

An established residential home builder in Mulgrave is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its in-house marketing and design team. This is a permanent, onsite opportunity within a premium, design-led business that values thoughtful creative work and strong brand presentation.

Working closely with a Senior Designer and the Head of Brand & Marketing, you will support the day-to-day creative needs of the business while also contributing to broader brand development, campaign work, and longer-term design initiatives. The role suits someone who enjoys balancing practical production tasks with brand-building design work and who can collaborate well in a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Create marketing and communication materials across print, digital, and on-site formats, including campaign assets, signage, EDMs, website graphics, and social media content.
• Protect and apply the brand identity consistently across all creative output, keeping everything aligned with visual standards and presentation expectations.
• Develop artwork from concept through to finished production-ready files for both digital use and print suppliers.
• Take part in internal briefings, manage deadlines effectively, and keep project files well organised to support smooth team workflows.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Good understanding of core design principles such as typography, hierarchy, grid structure, and image use across different media.
• Ability to prepare files correctly for output, including artwork setup, bleeds, version control, and final production checks.
• Professional, organised, and receptive to feedback, with the ability to handle multiple ad hoc tasks at once.
• A portfolio that demonstrates sound design judgement and creative potential; mid-level experience is preferred, but less experienced designers with strong ability are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with WordPress, email marketing platforms, or experience in property or retail would be advantageous, though not essential.
• Applicants must have appropriate working rights for Australia, be based in Melbourne, and be available for onsite work.
• Candidates on a Working Holiday visa or those requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
