Full Time Online English Teacher

Position Overview

This full-time role as an online ESL teacher is based at our Bryanston office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our academic team provides well-designed lesson materials, enabling you to concentrate on engaging personally with adult students from a diverse international community spanning over 120 countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead group and private online English conversation lessons ranging from 20 to 45 minutes with adult learners.
• Submit detailed feedback reports post-class, highlighting student progress and offering recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate and correct student essays using our digital tools.
• Participate in continuous training sessions to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Develop custom lesson content with increased teaching experience.

Working Hours and Schedule

You will work on assigned shifts according to the company’s 24/7 operational needs, covering Mondays through Sundays. Weekly work hours will not exceed 45 hours, with flexible shift timings communicated in advance. The current available schedule involves a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts. Your starting gross monthly salary will be R8008, subject to shift allocation.

Requirements

• Residency in South Africa with a valid South African identity document.
• Proficiency in English at C2 level with a neutral accent.
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree (mandatory).
• TEFL certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong computer skills and technological literacy.
• The role requires physical presence at our Bryanston office.
• Professional demeanor, energetic personality, and passion for working with people.
• Prior teaching experience is advantageous but not necessary; other relevant work experience is valued.
• Possession of a smartphone is required for daily sign-in procedures.
