Frontend and Mobile Developer (f/m/x)

About the Role

Join an international and enthusiastic team to learn, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in digital healthcare research by developing cutting-edge frontend and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement modern frontend and mobile features with a focus on accessible, high-performance, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to clean code standards.
• Engage in development, testing, code reviews, and participate in making software design and architectural decisions.
• Develop modules to interface with wearable sensors through Bluetooth Low Energy.
• Integrate mobile phone, smartwatch, and wearable sensors via SDKs.
• Enhance the existing Wear OS app built with Kotlin.
• Leverage UI expertise to build digital health products and prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA teams, and Product Managers.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a frontend engineer, ready to tackle challenging tasks while learning and contributing.
• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing mobile applications on Android, with optional iOS exposure.
• Practical knowledge of cross-platform mobile development using React Native.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Emphasis on optimized performance, semantic markup, accessibility, and security.
• Fluent English in both spoken and written forms; German language skills are advantageous.
