Job Overview

We are currently seeking Floor Technicians for both full-time and part-time roles at Prisma Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. Applicants should have prior experience in floor care and hospital environments, though training is available for those eager to learn. The positions involve operating industrial floor care equipment and performing maintenance and restoration on various floor surfaces.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance techniques, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate and manage industrial floor care machinery suited for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care using appropriate methods such as shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Execute maintenance and restorative treatments on diverse floor types following established procedures.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preferred previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related occupational role.
• Demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of floor care equipment and methods.
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently.
• Physical capability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule and Location

Positions are available on full-time and part-time bases, including second shift schedules and rotating weekend hours. Specific hours and days vary and will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation and Benefits

• The hourly wage ranges from $18.50 to $22.00 per hour.
