Floor Attendant

Position Overview

The Floor Attendant role involves performing daily site upkeep tasks, operating equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, backhoes, and forklifts to manage materials effectively. Assisting visitors by guiding them in disposing and recycling household materials is also an essential duty.

Key Duties

• Maintain site cleanliness and landscaping using tools including lawnmowers and leaf blowers each day.
• Utilize machinery such as backhoes and forklifts to transport materials within the site.
• Provide assistance to customers by directing them on the proper disposal and recycling of their household items.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience working at landfill sites is advantageous.
• Holding a valid driver’s license with reliable personal transportation, as public transit access is unavailable.
• Familiarity with operating backhoes and forklifts is a plus.
• Knowledge of safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances and dangerous waste is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude or relevant experience is considered an asset.
• Availability to work weekend shifts is required.
