Role Overview

The Firefighter position is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, involving early and late rotating shifts. Firefighters work as an essential team responding to diverse incidents including airfield emergencies, structural fires, and bushfire situations. This role requires high operational readiness and adherence to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain readiness and preparedness following established procedures.
• Conduct administrative tasks linked to operational activities accurately.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies in all duties.
• Engage regularly in training exercises and drills to sustain skills.

Shift Details

• Early Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday; 7:00am - 5:00pm Friday.
• Late Shift: 4:00pm - 11:30pm Monday to Thursday.
• Schedule alternates weekly between early and late shifts.

Requirements and Eligibility

• Must be an Australian citizen able to maintain Department of Defence Security Clearance.
• Hold PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
• Hold PUA30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
